How do I install InternUp Copilot?

Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store by searching "InternUp Copilot" or clicking the install button on our website. Once installed, click the InternUp icon in your browser toolbar to sign in or create an account.

How do I set up my profile?

After signing in, go to your InternUp dashboard and complete your profile — personal info, work experience, education, and skills. The more complete your profile, the better Copilot fills your applications.

Which job platforms are supported?

InternUp Copilot works on all major ATS platforms including:

• Wellfound
• LinkedIn
• Google Jobs
• Breezy, Recruitee, Glassdoor, Monster, and more

We add new platforms regularly. If your platform isn't listed, contact us and we'll look into adding support.

Autofill

How do I use Autofill?

Open any job application page, then press Alt+I (or click the InternUp icon) to open the Copilot panel. Click Autofill — Copilot will fill all detected fields using your saved profile in seconds. Review everything before submitting. Nothing is submitted without your approval.

Autofill isn't working on a page. What should I do?

• Make sure you're signed in to the extension
• Refresh the job application page and try again
• Make sure the page has fully loaded before clicking Autofill
• Check that your profile is complete — missing data means fields may be left blank
• If the platform is not yet supported, contact us with the URL and we'll prioritize it

Some fields were filled incorrectly. Can I fix them?

Yes — Copilot fills fields as suggestions. You can edit any field manually before submitting. If a specific field is consistently wrong, it's likely a profile data issue — update your profile in the dashboard and try again.

AI Resume Tailoring

What does resume tailoring do?

When you autofill an application, Copilot can rewrite your resume bullets to better match the job description — emphasizing relevant skills and experience already on your resume. It never fabricates experience or adds skills you don't have.

What are the tailoring modes?

• Conservative: Light adjustments — reorders and emphasizes existing content
• Balanced: Moderate rewrites to better align with the job description
• Aggressive: Deeper rewrites across summary, skills, and experience bullets

Resume tailoring didn't activate. Why?

Resume tailoring requires a job description to be present on the page. If the page doesn't show enough job detail, tailoring is skipped to avoid a generic result. Make sure you're on the actual job posting page, not a search results page.

Is InternUp Copilot free?

Yes — InternUp Copilot is free to get started. No credit card required. Premium features are available for power users.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account from your account settings page. Deleting your account removes all your personal data from our systems. If you have trouble, email us at [email protected] and we'll handle it within 48 hours.

I can't sign in. What should I do?

• Try signing out and back in from the extension panel
• Clear your browser cookies for internup.org and try again
• If you signed up with Google, make sure you're using the same Google account
• If the issue persists, email us at [email protected]

Privacy & Data

Does InternUp sell my data?

No. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. Your profile data is used only to fill your applications and provide our services.

What data does the extension collect?

The extension only activates when you use it. It reads job page details (title, company, job description) and form field names to enable autofill. It does not monitor your general browsing activity. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.
